Right before our rain came in an OC crew and Samoa crew choose to spend just one more night at spike camp. The weather turned cold and the rain started to fall. We started pulling crews off the line.....that is all but two. Because of the weather, helicopters were not able to fly. These two crews would have to spend one very cold night in the rain and walk out to an extraction point in the morning. With limited tents, food and no rain gear this made for a very long night and long walk out in the morning. With good sprit and song, they all walked along, till they reached a warm fire.
