Cause of Fire: Lightning
Area Vegetation: Gamble Oak, sage brush, pinyon/juniper, Douglas Fir, and Ponderosa Pine
Acres Burned: 75,019
Structures Burned: 1 out building
Roads Closed: In Uinta County, the sheriff is advising the public to stay off the roads in Buck, Kings Wells and Indian Springs Canyons. In Grand County, Westwater-Hay Canyon, East Canyon and Bitter Creek Road above the San Arroyo Gas Plant have been closed to the public. The State of Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands has closed all State Trust Lands in the Book Cliffs area.

Condition of Fire: Fire continues to smolder and creep with occasional isolated torching within the interior unburned pockets of fuel.
